ExMany powder handling systems include potentially hazardous equipment.
This may be due to the machinery used, or the powders may be combustible or potentially explosive. Sugar, flour and dairy powders can form explosive mixtures if suspended in air at concentrations as low as 10-50 g/m3, and large quantities can self ignite at certain temperatures.

Caution signSafety is always the first priority, and Nu-Con completes Risk Assessments and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) Reports for all systems and components. Risks are identified early in the design process to enable safety measures to be implemented. Equipment is designed, installed and commissioned in accordance with local and international standards such as ATEX Cat 1,2 and 3, EEx, DIP (Dust Ignition Proof), IEC, CENELEC, FM, UL, CSA, CE and NEC Stds.

Fully detailed manuals are provided to ensure customers are able to operate and maintain systems safely. Warning labels, signs and alarms are fitted to alert operators to potential hazards.
